Therapy typically focuses on diagnosing and healing psychological disorders, often looking backward at past trauma. Relationship coaching is forward-focused — it helps people understand current patterns, develop better communication, and build the skills to create the relationships they want. A relationship coach does not treat mental illness; they guide growth. The two can complement each other powerfully, which is why many therapists also train as relationship coaches.
No prior background is required. The programme begins with the foundations of relationship psychology and coaching from the ground up. What matters most is genuine care for helping people — not prior qualifications. Many students join from entirely different careers. You will receive everything you need within the programme itself.
No. The Relationship Coach Certification is a fully standalone programme. However, many students choose to complete both — the Life Coach Certification as the broad foundation (12 weeks, 108+ hours), and the Relationship Coach Certification as the deep specialisation (8 weeks, 81+ hours). This combination gives you a comprehensive credential set that positions you to work across all life coaching areas as well as the highly specific relationship niche. Both. The curriculum covers individual relationship coaching (singles, people healing from breakups, those working on inner patterns) and couples coaching (communication, conflict resolution, intimacy rebuilding). You will have frameworks and tools for working with both by the time you complete the programme.
The IPHM evaluation is integrated into the 8-week journey itself. There is no single exam. Your certification is based on: attendance and engagement in live sessions, performance in weekly quizzes, the quality and consistency of your communication throughout the programme, and your practical client session performance. Students who show up, engage genuinely, and complete their sessions earn their certification.
Yes — and it is growing rapidly. India is experiencing a significant shift: awareness of emotional health, relationship quality, and personal growth has expanded dramatically in the last five years. More people are openly seeking help for relationship challenges. Relationship coaching remains an underserved niche in India, which means demand significantly exceeds supply for skilled, certified coaches. Coaches who position themselves well in this space are finding strong client acquisition from the first few months.
Yes. The programme is fully online via Zoom. ADI graduates are coaching internationally from UAE, Germany, France, UK, USA, Australia, and more. Sessions are scheduled to accommodate different time zones. The IPHM certification is internationally recognised, so wherever you are located, your credential holds value.
Live participation is strongly encouraged. The sessions are highly interactive and much of the learning happens in community with other students and directly with Ashwani. Relationship coaches in India typically charge between Rs 1,500 and Rs 8,000 per session, with experienced coaches earning significantly more.
